Project

Texas A&M, Biochemistry/Biophysics Building

Continuing a long-standing relationship with SSC and Texas A&M University, MLN’s Service group was contracted to replace key components of the Biochemistry/Biophysics building’s HVAC system. The four-month project included the demo of five existing air-handling units with their strategic replacements. Each new unit had to be brought up in pieces by crane to the 5th level penthouse and assembled in place. Replacement of the existing pneumatic control valves with DDC control valves was completed while working in conjunction with Siemens controls. MLN provided the sheet metal duct transitions working with MLN Subsidiary Magnum sheet metal and the MLN team installed new mechanical piping to the units. A leak test was conducted and an inspection report was submitted at the completion of the project.
