Project
NASA Central Plant
MLN’s Special Projects group was recently successful in securing NASA’s Building 48 Mission Control Center Central Plant retrofit project. The scope-of-work on this mechanical retrofit project includes the removal of four (4) 900-ton chillers that will be replaced with four (4) 500-ton chillers, replacement of the chilled water piping and pump system, refurbishment of the cooling towers, and a new PLC controls system for the central plant.
Rusty Minchew, Marcos Vialpando and Raul Delbosque with MLN’s Special Projects group teamed-up with HOK and Swinerton Builders to complete this $4.8M project in December 2014.
