Project

Shell Westhollow Technology Center

The renovations to Shell’s Westhollow facility was constructed in three phases, involving 20 buildings totaling over 1 million square feet.

The campus in West Houston houses laboratory buildings and office space, with some new construction as well as complete renovations of existing buildings. MLN crews installed new mechanical and plumbing systems, and performed all of the plumbing pre-fabrication for Phase I at our in-house facility. This undertaking included 80,000 linear feet of lab gas piping of various materials – copper, stainless steel, black iron, etc. There were also seven different types of water ranging from potable hot and cold water, DI water or industrial water. These systems also varied in the spectrum of materials, such as copper and polypropylene.
