Menil Museum Campus Expansion

MLN began work on Houston’s Menil Museum campus expansion project, a several-years-in-the-making $40M Drawing Institute. MLN will provide HVAC, plumbing and sheet metal services for this project.

The Menil’s new drawing institute will feature an 825-ton remote central plant, with magnetic bearing chillers and three hot water heating boilers. Nineteen HVAC pumps will be used for primary and secondary pumping for chilled water, heating water and condenser water service.

MLN will install both wet and dry pipe systems, utilizing unique high-end plumbing systems and fixtures throughout. The new central plant will eventually serve the two new buildings, as well as the existing buildings on the campus.
