For its new six-story headquarters, Australian-based BHP Billiton wanted a workplace that would inspire and nurture its people. Three dynamic, multi-story trading floors are physically and visually connected to support operations areas and conference spaces. The Health-Discovery cafeteria shares the floor with an auditorium. Underscoring their vision of sustainability, the new facility also houses a full wellness center and was among the first buildings in Houston to achieve LEED® Platinum certification. The MLN Special Projects team provided all labor and materials to install duct socks located on each floor of the building and new air devices in the floors and ceilings. MLN provided and installed new CRAC units as well as mechanical chilled water piping, BTU meters and DDC controls.
