Hilton Americas–Houston
Hilton Americas is Houston’s largest convention hotel, with 1,200 guest rooms, 91,000 square feet of meeting space, 66,000 square feet of ballrooms and 30 versatile meeting rooms.
Built at a cost of $285 million, the hotel features a state-of-the–art HVAC system whose 4,550 tons of cooling are implemented through an array of mechanical systems rarely found in a single building. Five miles of piping and two miles of linear diffusers serve the first six floors alone. The hotel has the most complicated stair-pressurization and smoke-detection system in Houston.
